Meet Chris Anderson, Super Marketer for Tele-Tracking Technologies, Inc. When encroaching deadlines and narrow budgets threaten his campaigns, Chris and his marketing assistant save the day with cleverness, cunning, and a little help from their secret weapon. Here, Chris explains how ennect has improved both his campaigns and his life in the marketing department.
What sort of challenges do you face as a marketer?
Communication is our biggest issue, both internally and with clients and prospects. We need to make sure that everyone is on the same page.
Are you challenged by under-resourcing??
Resources are always a challenge. With a limited marketing budget, we have to get the biggest return or greatest bang for the buck.
Chris, you only have 2 people in the marketing department. How do you manage to run effective campaigns??
Our typical marketing approach combines client referrals, trade shows, direct mail, online with website, SEO, and advertising in industry publications. Like all smart marketers, we are trying to keep up, divide and conquer, and we’re using tools to do more with less.
With all of the online marketing tools out there, what attracted you to ennect??
We wanted to be on the cutting edge. ennect was being launched as an marketing toolkit at the same time as our needs emerged. ennect looked more interesting to us, so we decided to give it a shot.
You have used the ennect toolkit for a year now. How has it altered your activities on a strategic and tactical level??
The user group conferences that we host 3 times a year have been easier to promote and manage. The ennectEvent conference management software is easy to create, easy to deliver on-line; the clients find it easy to register online. Tele-Tracking already has a close relationship with clients; our client base is loyal and interested in providing feedback. In the past, though, we’ve struggled to communicate with all of our clients. ennect has improved this relationship and made it easier to manage.
Chris, I understand that you had to close registration on your user group conferences. Can you tell us more about this?
ennectEvent’s accuracy allowed us to do an invitation blast to contacts, who quickly registered online; as a result we have had to close registrations and push customers to the next conference. In fact, with ennectEvent promotion usage over the last three conferences, we’ve gotten stronger response each time. What also helps is our viral marketing strategy and our client’s enthusiasm – both of which make it easier to prepare and plan for our special events.
How do the ennect tools help Tele-Tracking to remain a leader in the medical software industry??
ennect places us on an even playing field with bigger competitors, and more importantly it makes us look sharper and smarter.
How have your customer interactions been affected by the toolkit??
Because of our success with ennectEvent, we have recently started using ennectSurvey. We are sending a monthly “Client Experience Survey” after every implementation of our solutions to provide us with comments and feedback; customers now feel that they have an avenue to communicate with us. ennect gives us the ability to quantify and improve our performance.
Chris, has ennect improved your quality of life in the marketing department??
ennect has definitely made things easier. Tasks are no longer so tedious, and ennect has given me the freedom to attend to supervisory tasks and strategic planning.
Who do you think would benefit the most from using ennect??
Anyone who needs to communicate with clients, customers or prospects needs to have some tool to do so in an easy, effective, and efficient manner. ennect is ideal for marketers on tight budgets who need to communicate smarter, faster, and better.
