How to make scratches on an photo in Adobe Photoshop Elements 6?

Is there a way to make a photo look like there are film scratches all over it using photoshop?

You can use a scratchy texture found on the internet, like the one here: http://i16.tinypic.com/2l9sl1h.jpg (by peoplemachines on livejournal.)

You can then open photoshop elements paste it onto the image you wanted the scratches on and set the texture’s layer to “Multiply” mode. :) Hope that helps.
