People make computer viruses becuz they’re twisted and greedy. There’s no other real reason for it.
they make viruses for several reasons 1) to control others computers 2) to steal their banking login credentials . They rent the zombies/ botnet to other miscreants. They sell the login credentials to anyone willing to buy them. internet has attracted thousands of people wanting to make a quick buck through harmful and unethical means. There are probably millions of dollors cheated/ stolen out of innocent people around the world. But most of the cases are not reported hence go unnoticed
why do people make viruses in the first place, i dont understand these fucked up people.
So your ok if your on either mac os x / Linux or Windows 95 !!

Thanks for letting me know. I did a windows defender scan, after I reset my c drive. My computer is working like nothing ever happened. Is anti virus a key stroke virus?

the only way to know that it if you have 1) an antivirus + antispyware + friewall.
1) Do a scan on online virus scanners, some availble freeware are Bitdefender online scan, TendMicro Housecall, Eset online scanner
If you use firefox browser with NoScript, it will prevent the automatic downloads from all such sites

Sporkafife, very good tip, if you know that its antivirus 2009. but now they are disguising themselves along with other programs and videos and by the time you notice it, you already downloaded it. These jerks have no shame! I wish I knew your tip the first time. The 2nd time it was inbeded in video download.
Yeah, the best thing to do is shutdown the computer by the power bar. (i already got a pop up like that in my older pc)

As soon as the Antivirus 2009 program appears, DO NOT PRESS ANYTHING. Even the ‘X’ button will plant it into your computer. The program even creates a fake version of the “Windows Security Centre” to make it seem like you have no virus protection.

Get Firefox 3 with McAfee Site Advisor and Ad Block Plus. Then use Malwarebytes Anti-Malware and Spybot Search and Destroy and obviously a good anti virus (I use Avira Antivir).
Also be intelligent on what you click/ what sites you go on.
OK this was the first malware my pc took but it didn’t bother me that much coz my PC is strong as superman xD.. now this is the worst malware I ever encounter so far “Radz and internet cafe” it always freezes my computer! grr

Get Avast antivirus, it stops the popup before it can even come up.
